Pinterest challenge: day 21
#44
1. The Christmas decorations have come down. Technically, the hubby did this today but I have sorted out the art supplies and made the mantle and the side board look the way I wanted it to.
2. Watch your favourite film. To be honest, I can’t say that I have got a favourite film – although Christmas ones are brill and I have a few faves there. I have gone for ‘Love Actually’ as it is always a lovely, heart warming film to watch.
3. I have taken a lovely bath this morning, using a Lush bath bomb that I got for Christmas.
4. I had planned on doing 3 tonight but after a busy day, hubby being called away and a few stinky nappies, I have decided to go for the burning my favourite candle.
5. I am switching this out to having an early night. I have had quite a few late nights so I am in bed by 9pm tonight!
6.
7. This one is to meditate, so I decided to do it whilst in bed. I put on a sleep meditation video to help me relax. To be honest, it didn’t work. However, I do find that white noise apps help me sleep, so I used on of these instead. I felt more relaxed in bed, so I’ll take it as a success.
8. Pamper yourself. I have had a bath, put on some lovely body lotion, done my nails and relaxed with a glass of wine. Perfect!
9. There is nothing better, after a long day at work (especially when the weather is miserable), than taking your bra off and putting on your PJ’s!
10.
11. This should be write a love letter to myself. I think that is a waste of time! I have written a letter to my Aunty R. My Grandad’s last remaining sister. She is such a kind and lovely person. I don’t speak to her anywhere near as much as I should.
12. Wear your favourite perfume – coco channel.
13. I have had a little boogie to a few songs. Think I am stuck int he 80’s and 90’s though musically.
14. This one was to make your favourite meal. Well, tomorrow I am starting the Keto diet so I have decided to have my favourite foods tonight as a final fling!
15.
16. Ten things I am grateful for…
i) my hubby
ii) my children
iii) my house
iv) having a wage
v) the dog
vi) my independence
vii) my quick thinking
viii) my organisational skills
ix) my nurturing side
x) my friends
17. A mini manicure. I decided to remove my old nail polish and send some time putting some new on. I have gone for a dark purple, with a light purple on my ring fingers. To be honest, I don’t really like it. The nail varnish is a bit clumpy, so I think it might be coming to the end of its life. I might end up redoing them by the end of the night!
18. Maybe not my most favourite desert, but delicious none the lesson – strawberries, raspberries and cream. Yummy!
19.
20. Do something for the first time. Quite difficult to do because I am 40 and have done pretty much everything that I can do easily! Am I about to jump out of a plan for the pinterest challenge. No. Does drinking a new drink for the first time count? If so, check!
21.
22. Do something you have been putting off. Completing more than one of these a night definitely counts. Done!
23. I got up and had breakfast. It may not have been early but hey – at least I had it. I don’t normally.
24. Throw yourself a mini party. Well – that’s what is happening this evening! Love actually, a glass of wine. Me time!
25. Slow down and be present. I have definitely achieved that today. No school work and lots of relaxing.
26. I have been enjoying listening to music on the way to work. A nice way to relax before school. I especially like putting on Christmas music, even though it is not christmas, because of all the good feelings it evokes.
27. Create a vision board. AKA: Updated my pinterest!
28.
29.
30.
31. Stretch.
32. Create affirmations for yourself.
You are valued. You are loved. You are needed. You are good. You are strong. You can do this.
33. Organise your ‘closest’. Or wardrobe as we say. I am constantly doing this. Mainly because my hubby can’t put my clothes away correctly!
34.
35. I haven’t watched Netflix, more like All4. Perhaps I should not admit to what my favourite programme is, as it is a little sad really. It is celebs go dating. I don’t know why I have been wanting to watch this but it is a little addictive!
36.
37. I stated the Wreck this Journal quite some time ago but was something that I had put on the back burner. For more information about this check out via this You Tube link and can be purchased from here.
38. Drink your favourite coffee from your favourite coffee place. I had a gingerbread late (my favourite) at home. I prefer Costa but I already had the Tassimo stuff in, so it made sense to stay at home!
39. Write a thank you note. Sent one to hubby as a text for him to read when he finishes work.
40. Something I love is doing some crafting, this this is what I have gone for. I haven’t done it yet (as it is going to be the nice finish to my day) but I am going to do some diamond painting, plan out my December Daily and organise the possibility for a producitvity / bullet journal. I am not sure whether I actually need one or not!
41. Today I had a lay in 🙂 I didn’t sleep all the way through the night as I woke with a stomach ache in the middle of the night, so sleeping in until 10am was really appreciated!
42. Spend some time in the sun – difficult as it is winter!
43. Have a girls night in. I suppose having a night in when hubby isn’t here counts right?
44. Start the day with positive affirmations.
45.
46. Cuddle with your pet. This is actually one of my favourite things to do. Both the cat and the dog enjoy having mummy time and enjoy being fussed.
47. I have been impressed with myself! I like to listen to music whilst on the bus and I often find myself skipping the same songs. Tonight, I have removed the songs I constantly skip and have put quite a few new ones on there. Not too bad considering that putting songs on an iphone is not the easiest task in the world!
48.
